We’re excited to announce that the Wiki Science Competition 2025 in India is being organized for the very first time at a national level. This global campaign celebrates science through freely licensed images, videos, and other media on Wikimedia Commons. By participating, you help make science more visible, accessible, and inspiring to people everywhere.

The competition features eight exciting categories:

  1. People in Science
  2. Microscopy
  3. Astronomy
  4. Everyday Science
  5. Scientific Equipment
  6. Chemistry
  7. Physics
  8. Special Category

Campaign Duration: The competition will run from 1 November to 15 December 2025. You can upload your images anytime during this period.

Stemma di Arzano (Napoli)

Ciao Ruthven,

di recente sto creando le bandiere dei comuni della città metropolitana di Napoli che mancano su Wiki. Tra queste, ho visto quella di Arzano qui [1], così sono andato a scaricare lo stemma che hai creato. Tuttavia, mi sono reso conto che dal 1998 Arzano ha il titolo di città.

Quindi, potresti per favore cambiare la corona da quella di comune a quella di città, così che io possa attribuire esclusivamente a te lo stemma che inserirò sulla bandiera?

Bug di CropTool e soliti problemi di categorizzazione

Ti segnalo che il vitale tool CropTool, usato nei file multipagina djvu / pdf, presenta seri problemi. Prendo per modello i file in Category:Illustrations from Gozzi - Le fiabe.

Guarda il file File:Gozzi - Le Fiabe. 2, 1884 (page 13 crop).jpg: inizia con

Il tl Book originale del file djvu era:

Nella copia, eseguita da CropTool, mancano le prime due righe, nome template e autore. L'errore è sistematico: mi avviene per ogni immagine estratta da testi che contengano il tl Book.

Posso ripassare con il bot i file della categoria sistemandoli, ma non è una soluzione.

Il secondo problema è che CropTool esegue una copia di Book, template non adatto alle illustrazioni derivate, e che i metadati dovrebbero essere completamente riscritti utilizzando un tl Information; mi propongo di farlo per Le fiabe, ma francamente la correzione andrebbe fatta su una montagna di testi ed è estremamente delicata; più volte mi sono ripromesso di fare un lavoro sistematico, ma poi ho gettato la spugna.

Infine... io cerco di seguire lo schema di categorizzazione che mi hai suggerito a suo tempo e che ho copiato anche in User:Alex brollo, ma lavorando a più mani non è per niente facile.... infatti, proprio su Le fiabe, troverai un bel po' di confisione che tenterò di sistemare; ma prima, vorrei che si avviasse alla soluzione il problema serio che ti ho indicato. @Ruthven Trovo che un bot: User:FlaschBot2 esegue una parziale correzione dei tl|Book amputati, aggiungendo il nome del template (ma non il campo Author). Ho chiesto al suo manovratore qualche dettaglio; sto tentando di istruire il mio bot alla correzione dei Book fallati seguita dalla conversione tl|Book -> tl|Information ma è un'impresa ostica. Una duda

Hola. Tengo una duda que me gustaría responder. Hace tiempo utilizaba activamente mi cuenta de Wikipedia y wikimedia para subir fotos que no eran mías y que contenían derechos de autor. En ese momento lo hacía por qué desconocía las reglas, pero inminentemente las fotografías fueron eliminadas por esta razón, incluso por ese motivo fui notificado de que si lo volvía hacer mi cuenta sería eliminada y por esta razón deje de subir fotografías.

Y bueno hace poco asisti a un concierto de la banda Zoé, donde tome muchas fotografías que me gustaría subir, pero no estoy seguro de hacerlo por temor de infringir ninguna regla y que mi cuenta sea eliminada. Por eso hago está consulta.

De ante mano gracias por leer y ojalá pueda orientarme.
